MORAIRA:
After the construction of what we know today as the castle of Moraira, a population centre began to be created and organised, whose main economic livelihood was fishing. Thus, the town of Moraira with its fishing tradition began to grow.
The coastline of the municipality of Teulada-Moraira borders Benissa to the west and Benitachell (El Poble Nou de Benitatxell) to the north, with some 8 kilometres of coastline which, for the most part, is notably rocky and steep, almost inaccessible by land. Even so, there are small coves and some unmissable beaches to see in Moraira, such as the beach of l'Ampolla, located to the immediate west of the town centre, or the beach of El Portet, to the west of Cap d'Or (or Punta de Moraira).
